The furniture bank is not retail space. Unlike some other organizations, we don’t sell the items in our warehouse to those who are living in furniture poverty. When households in need are referred to us, they are invited to shop our warehouse at no charge and their selections are delivered by our team at no charge.

Take your new furniture home! If you use your own car, van or truck, there is no cost. If you would like Furniture Bank to deliver your furniture: We will charge a delivery fee. In most cases your referral agency will pay for delivery. Furniture Donation and Pickup Form Please note the following: Home Pickup Fee: Please note that Houston Furniture Bank requests a $50 donation (per visit) to pick up your donated furniture at your home or place of business. Furniture Bank works alongside more than 70 community agencies and shelters, such as Streets to Homes, YMCA Shelters, and the Fred Victor Centre, that refer clients in need to access the services. With 5 trucks on the road, Furniture Bank is able to provide furniture to more than 5,000 clients a year.

New donation hours will be Tuesday - Saturday (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) in both locations. The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio provides furniture to individuals and families in need. You cannot make an appointment directly with Furniture Bank. You must be referred by one of our agency partners. If you have a worker from a social service agency, please ask your worker if the organization is a Furniture Bank Partner. If it is, your worker will let you know if you are eligible to receive a Furniture Bank Referral.

In the Houston Furniture Bank Art Gallery, those who receive furniture assistance have the opportunity to select artwork at no cost. Dallas Furniture Bank (DFB) has provided furniture for 6,000 families, since 2003. DFB has touched the lives of over 17,000 and will impact an additional 2,000 in this year. Basic furniture gives a family the sense of pride, hope, stability, as well as giving a safe and well-equipped environment. It all started with a milk crate and a pot. One evening a refugee family of five had invited Sister Anne Schenck over for dinner. When she arrived, she found a ‘home’ furnished with a milk crate used as a table, and a pot which the dinner was cooked and served in.
